Founder of #MeWe International Inc, Mohsin Mohi Ud Din, shares his own methodology that uses the process storytelling and communications to support the healing and empowerment of marginalized youth communities all over the world, including the Syrian refugee community through is program #MeWeSyria. He includes details of how his personal changemaker journey started in Kashmir, and why communications is his tool for social good.

Mohsin has over 8 years of experience working on human rights, global digital campaigns, strategic communications, and youth issues centered on global development—including more than three years of work as a strategic communications officer at the United Nations and UN agencies, such as UNICEF. At the UN, Mohsin developed creative advocacy campaigns, compelling narratives and public messages from complex health, economic, and political events.

Mohsin is the founder and CEO of #MeWe international Inc., which created the award winning #MeWeSyria program. He also helped create and design Ashoka’s Youth Venture ‘Storytelling for Changemakers’ program. Mohsin thrives on creative collaboration and is passionate about empowering global citizens through storytelling and communications innovations.

Mohsin has over 8 years of experience working on human rights, global digital campaigns, strategic communications, and youth issues centered on global development—including more than three years of work as a strategic communications officer at the United Nations and UN agencies, such as UNICEF. At the UN, Mohsin developed creative advocacy campaigns, compelling narratives and public messages from complex health, economic, and political events.

Since 2009, he has successfully led an independent humanitarian projects for youth in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, with a particular focus on communications and digital storytelling aimed at fostering cultural dialogue and community activism. Each project involved the execution of leadership skills, diplomacy, community/media outreach, digital storytelling and budget management. His current youth program is with Syrian refugees in Jordan and Turkey called #MeWeSyria.

In 2017, Mohsin was awarded ‘Solver’ at the United Nations for Solve MIT’s innovation competition. In 2009, the U.S Department of State awarded Mohsin the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship, and in 2012 Mohsin was named a Fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
