Kyle Kornack

Environmental Entrepreneur & Co-Founder at Green Gas

Kyle Kornack is an environmental entrepreneur working on projects that reconcile the economy with ecology.

He currently serves as Executive Director of the Green Gas Movement, a social enterprise that is growing a climate solutions fund through consumer-driven carbon offset programs. In 2017, Kornack was invited to present the grassroots carbon pricing model (Green Gas) at the United Nations. Green Gas is a winner of MIT’s Solve Initiative, partner of 1% For The Planet, and is proud to be a member of Greentown Labs, the largest cleantech incubator in the US.

Before founding Green Gas, Kyle helped to start Boston’s first organic beverage company- Jubali– where he worked for 3 years to scale a regional brand dedicated to local agriculture. Before the “juice days,” it’d have been difficult to find Kyle, as he was in the remote reaches of the Pacific, studying permaculture at the Hawaii Sanctuary while managing a spider monkey and exotic bird sanctuary. Prior that chapter, he worked a more normal job in the renewable energy industry leading a marketing team in a grassroots campaign that moved thousands of New England homeowners off oil heat.

He holds a dual BA in Environmental Studies and Philosophy from Northeastern University, where during his studies he served as environmental educator in Boston public schools.
