Kristalis Sotomayor

Flutist, Performance & Music Education Major at Berklee College Of Music

Kristalis Sotomayor was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She began studying music at 4 years old. She was accepted to the Escuela de Musica at the age of 5. At 7 she performed with the police band of Puerto Rico. At 10 she participated in her first symphonic experience, playing in two concerts.

Since then she has been first flutist of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Puerto Rico, the orchestra that received former President Barack Obama in Puerto Rico. She was a soloist with the Ernesto Ramos Antonini Symphony Orchestra. She has presented workshops about her practice methods.

Kristalis performs regularly, while a full scholarship student at Berklee College of Music. She has more than 140 videos on YouTube.
