Speaker Orientation Blast!
Last night, dozens of people gathered at WBUR headquarters on Commonwealth Avenue to get a sneak preview of the incredible talks that will be part of the TEDxBeaconStreet Salon on March 17th. We had a music therapist who charmed us with her beautiful voice, and an astrophysician who had to explain to us exactly what ‘astrophysician’ means before he gave his pitch. (Come to the Salon to find out for yourself!)
People spoke about their personal journeys, their care for their patients, and their constant quest to improve the practice of caring for people’s loved ones. They told us stories of people who’d taught them, from patients they’d treated to colleagues who helped shape their ideas. Everyone in the room connected to a story and contributed to making the talks even better.
As people in the room offered suggestions and reactions to the talks, we were reminded of how much our audience is a part of what makes TEDxBeaconStreet great. We love their ideas, their enthusiasm, and their commitment to making each presentation the best that it can be.
If you think this sounds appealing, then we’d love to see you at one of our future events! The talks from last night will be in final, fantastic shape by the 17th; we hope you’re there to see them!
